The general manager of Alstom Mexico, Maite Ramos Gómez, confirmed the advance during a press conference offered by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

This initial trial, carried out over the weekend, comprised three significant sections of the route, starting from San Francisco in Campeche, going through Yucatán, and culminating in the tourist city of Cancún.

The evaluation was divided into two consecutive days. During the first, the train advanced from Campeche to Teya, in Yucatán, passing through sections 3 and 4 of the route. In the second, the journey was extended to Cancun, making a strategic stop at the famous archaeological site of Chichén Itzá.

More than 100 individuals participated in this round of tests, where the efficiency of the Xiinbal model train was put to the test. This vehicle, completely powered by electricity, can accommodate a total of 230 passengers.
