Mayan Train Route
The Maya Train Route is one of the most important infrastructure projects of the Mexican government,
which seeks to promote tourism in the southeastern region of the country.
This route covers more than 1,500 kilometers of railway tracks and connects the states of Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
Construction of the Mayan Train began in 2019, although its operations began in December 2023, and it is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2024.
