Mayan Train and Cancun Airport Connected by Electric Vehicle
The connection between the Mayan Train and Cancun Airport will be vital for mobility facilities between both key points of the destination.
The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SCT) announced that a fifth project has been added around the Mayan Train in Quintana Roo, which will connect the Cancun International Airport with an electric vehicle.
According to the head of the SCT, Jorge Nuño Lara, the connection between the four terminals of the Cancun airport and the Mayan Train station will be carried out by means of an electric vehicle that will make stops at each of the terminals. For this, the internal roads of the airport will be used without leaving it.
The project, which will not require the construction of new infrastructure, will be carried out taking advantage of existing roads and will pass under the Mayan Train station.

In this way, the Mayan Train station in Cancun and the airport will be connected in a circuit of no more than 20 minutes with electric vehicles.
The new project is added to the other four that are already being carried out in the Quintana Roo area.
The first is a vehicular bridge over the Nichupté lagoon, the second is the rehabilitation of Luis Donaldo Colosio boulevard, the third is the modernization of the airport distributor, and the fourth is the Chac Mool road.
The objective of the SCT with these projects is to benefit more than 1.3 million inhabitants in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Solidaridad, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres, as well as the 20 million tourists who visit the Cancun area each year.
