The Mexican Government’s Directorate of Culture, through the Canal 22 platform, is proud to present the premiere of “Tren Maya”, a documentary series produced by the respected National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).

In addition, it highlights the conservation and restoration efforts carried out through the Project for the Improvement of Archaeological Zones (Promeza), as well as the most relevant investigations and discoveries.

The series will be broadcast every Monday at 7:30 p.m., starting on June 5, 2023. Viewers will be able to appreciate how, thanks to the Mayan Train, the most relevant archaeological rescue investigation that has ever taken place is being carried out. in the southeastern region of Mexico.

This project, a monumental road infrastructure and social development initiative, has uncovered an incredible amount of archaeological information, anthropological records, and surprising finds that are invaluable for understanding the Mayan civilization, both in its ancestral origins and in its contemporary presence.
