Two weeks after starting operations, the Mayan Train is preparing for a new phase of expansion.

Starting January 1, 2024, new stations will be added to the existing route, in an effort to complete the transportation project that seeks to transform the Mexican southeast.

The temporary suspension of service, which began on December 28, will facilitate the integration of these new stations.

The beginning of 2024 will mark an important advance for the Mayan Train with the inauguration of the route that connects Palenque with Cancún, and in turn with Campeche.

This expansion will add eight more stations to the network, joining the 14 already operational since the train’s launch on December 15. These new stations are:

These stations will provide access to more destinations and enrich the user experience, connecting sites of cultural and tourist importance.
