Advances in Transportation Infrastructure in Mexico.

The Government of Mexico, committed to strengthening the national infrastructure, reports on the results obtained in the first year of President Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration.

These achievements reflect the collective effort to transform the country’s transportation and energy systems, consolidating a vision of modern and sustainable mobility for the benefit of the entire population.

During this period, the Mayan Train has positioned itself as a benchmark in southeastern Mexico, mobilized more than 1.7 million people since its inauguration.

This figure represents a significant advance for regional connectivity, boosting local development, tourism, and the integration of historically marginalized communities.

For its part, the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) has served more than 15 million passengers, positioning itself as a fundamental part of the national airport network.

Furthermore, during the same period, AIFA has managed nearly one million tons of cargo, strengthening logistics and both domestic and international trade.

In the energy sector, the Olmeca Refinery in Dos Bocas has reached a daily production of 270,000 barrels, representing a decisive step toward energy self-sufficiency, helping to reduce dependence on foreign fuels and generating employment in the sector.

Mexicana de Aviación, for its part, continues to consolidate its position as a relevant airline in the country, having already transported 750,000 passengers, demonstrating the confidence people have in domestic air transportation options.

Finally, and as part of the commitment to improve national connectivity, important rail projects have been launched, such as the CDMX-Pachuca Train, the Mexico City-Querétaro Passenger Train, and the Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo Train.

These developments are part of the strategic Tren del Norte project, which will connect the nation’s capital with the northern border, opening up new opportunities for regional and national development.

The Mexican government reaffirms its determination to continue promoting infrastructure projects that improve the quality of life, strengthen the economy, and position our country as an example of modernization and progress in Latin America.
